At UP ORIGINAL, the vessel is never a mere container; it is the silent protector of the scent’s soul.
For our candle collection, we traveled to Dehua, the historic heart of Chinese white porcelain, to seek a material that embodies "Quiet."
Dehua porcelain, recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, is celebrated for its pure, jade-like texture and its subtle translucency. We chose this heritage material not for its history alone, but for its unique sensory dialogue with light. When the flame is lit, the porcelain vessel glows from within, transforming the candle into a breathing sculpture. It is where ancient craftsmanship meets the modern rhythm of the home.
01 The Tactile Warmth
Unlike industrial glass, Dehua porcelain possesses a "skin-like" warmth that resonates with our WEAR philosophy.
02 The Translucent Glow
The legendary "Lard Gloss" of the glaze allows light to diffuse softly, creating an atmosphere of internal order.
03 Essential Form
We stripped away all ornamentation to let the purity of the material speak for itself—restraint as the highest form of aesthetic.
